Apolosign's wall calendar can subscribe to external calendars by URL — which means the kids' team schedules don't have to be typed in. Grab each team app's calendar link (or one merged link for the whole family) and the season shows up on the display.
Add every schedule to Schedule Caddie (free). Paste each team app's calendar link — TeamSnap, GameChanger, SportsEngine, LeagueApps, the league site (our guides show where each hides it) — and upload the school's PDF while you're at it. Everything merges onto one color-coded family calendar.
Copy your single feed URL. Open Subscribe & Share and copy the All Events feed URL. This one link now carries every kid, every team, every no-school day — and it stays current as seasons change.
Import the URL in the ApoloSign app. In the app's calendar setup, choose the option to add an external calendar via URL (iCal/ICS), paste your Schedule Caddie link, and name it. Events appear on the display once the first sync completes.
Know the refresh behavior. URL-imported calendars refresh on a delay. To pull the latest immediately: open the ApoloSign app → the ⋯ menu (top right) → select the imported calendar → Refresh Calendar. And because Schedule Caddie emails you when anything changes, you'll know a game moved before you'd think to look at the wall.
The imported calendar isn't updating with a schedule change
URL imports refresh on the app's own cycle, not instantly. Use Refresh Calendar in the ApoloSign app to force it — and note the change itself: nothing on the display tells you something moved. Schedule Caddie emails you exactly what changed, usually before the display catches up.
Two-way editing doesn't work on the imported calendar
By design — Apolosign's two-way sync is Google-only; URL imports are read-only. Fix events at the source (the team app), or keep editable family events in a synced Google calendar alongside.
Five teams makes the display cluttered
Import ONE merged Schedule Caddie URL instead of per-team feeds — the merging, dedupe, and filtering happen upstream.
Yes — Apolosign imports external calendars by iCal URL in its app, in addition to syncing Google (two-way), Apple, and Outlook accounts. (Skylight supports pasting a calendar URL too, per its support docs — the one-merged-URL setup works on both devices.)
Yes, on the next refresh of the imported URL — automatically, or immediately if you tap Refresh Calendar. The display won't announce the change though; pair it with change-alert emails so you hear what moved without staring at the wall.
If the device supports multiple URL imports, yes — but you'll manage a separate import per team, duplicates across overlapping feeds aren't cleaned up, and nothing emails you when a schedule changes. One merged URL keeps the display clean and adds the change alerts; that's why it's the method we teach.
From Apolosign's published calendar-sync documentation as of September 2026, cross-checked with a real family setup. If the app moves a button, tell us and we'll fix this page.
