How to Get Your TeamSnap Calendar Link

If you've got a kid on a TeamSnap team, you already know the drill: open the app, tap into the team, check whether practice moved. TeamSnap does publish a calendar link that keeps your phone's calendar updated automatically — you just won't find it in the app. It only lives on the TeamSnap website, one browser tab away from where most people look.

Most parents search for this after clicking around the TeamSnap app looking for a "sync" or "export" button and coming up empty. That's not a bug — TeamSnap intentionally keeps the calendar feed on the desktop/web version only.

Get your TeamSnap calendar link

  1. 1

Log in at teamsnap.com — on a browser, not the app. The calendar link only exists on the website version of TeamSnap. If you normally use the phone app, open a browser (on your phone or a computer) and sign in at teamsnap.com with the same account.

  2. 2

Click your roster/team name, then the Schedule tab. From your TeamSnap dashboard, click into the specific team whose schedule you want. That opens the team site, where you'll see a Schedule tab across the top.

  3. 3

Click Settings, then Sync Calendar / Export. Inside the Schedule tab, look for a button labeled Settings — not a gear icon. Clicking it reveals Sync Calendar / Export, which is the option you want.

  4. 4

Copy the calendar link. TeamSnap gives you an iCal/webcal URL. It may start with webcal:// and come from teamsnap.com, go.teamsnap.com, or ical-cdn.teamsnap.com depending on your plan — all of them work the same way.

  5. 5

Paste it into Schedule Caddie. Come back here and paste the link. This team's games and practices start showing up automatically — no more re-checking the app.

Can TeamSnap sync with Google Calendar?

Yes — the link from Sync Calendar / Export above is a standard subscribable feed, so it works the same way in Google Calendar or on an iPhone:

  1. 1

On Google Calendar (desktop or web). Go to Settings → Add calendar → From URL, paste the TeamSnap link you copied above, then click Add calendar.

  2. 2

On iPhone (Apple Calendar). Go to Settings → Apps → Calendar → Calendar Accounts → Add Account → Other → Add Subscribed Calendar, and paste the same link. (On older iOS versions, Calendar appears directly in Settings.)

That covers the sync part. It won't cover the knowing part: Google and Apple refresh subscribed feeds on their own lazy schedule — sometimes 12 to 24 hours behind — and neither one notifies you when a practice moves inside that window. Schedule Caddie checks the same TeamSnap feed every day and emails you exactly what changed, so a rescheduled game doesn't surprise you at the field.

What you can do with that link

Subscribe directly

Paste the link into Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or Outlook and it works — as long as you can get back to the TeamSnap website to grab it. The catch: you're locked to one team per link, so if your kid plays on three teams across three apps, you're subscribing three times and checking three calendars.

Paste into Schedule Caddie

  • TeamSnap plus every other kid's team app, merged into one calendar
  • Color-coded by kid or team so you can tell at a glance
  • Email alerts the moment a game or practice changes
  • A weekly digest so nothing slips through

If something's not working

I can't find Sync Calendar / Export anywhere

You're probably still in the TeamSnap phone app — the option is web-only. Open teamsnap.com in a browser, click into your team, open the Schedule tab, then click Settings.

The calendar link stopped updating

TeamSnap feed URLs can go stale when a season ends or team settings change. Go back to Sync Calendar / Export on the team site and grab a fresh link.

My URL looks different from the example above

TeamSnap issues links from a few different domains — teamsnap.com, go.teamsnap.com, and ical-cdn.teamsnap.com are all normal and all work the same way.

Frequently asked questions

Does the TeamSnap calendar link update automatically?

Yes. Once you subscribe — in a calendar app or in Schedule Caddie — new games, rescheduled practices, and cancellations pull in on their own. TeamSnap doesn't need to notify anyone; your calendar just checks the feed periodically.

Can I see all my kids' teams in one calendar, not just this one?

Not through TeamSnap itself — each link covers one team. That's actually why most families end up here: TeamSnap will hand you five different links for five different kids, but it won't merge them. Schedule Caddie does, whether the other teams use TeamSnap, GameChanger, or something else entirely.

Why do I need the TeamSnap website instead of the app?

TeamSnap's mobile app is built for day-to-day team communication and RSVPs; the calendar-sync feature lives in the full web dashboard. It's a deliberate product split, not a bug — expect the same pattern on other team apps.

Does this work with a free TeamSnap plan?

Yes. Calendar sync is not a paid-tier feature — every TeamSnap team, regardless of plan, has a Sync Calendar / Export option on its Schedule tab.

Can TeamSnap sync with Google Calendar?

Yes. Grab the link from Sync Calendar / Export on the team site (steps above), then in Google Calendar go to Settings → Add calendar → From URL and paste it in. On an iPhone, go to Settings → Apps → Calendar → Calendar Accounts → Add Account → Other → Add Subscribed Calendar and paste the same link (on older iOS versions, Calendar appears directly in Settings).

If I sync TeamSnap to Google Calendar, will I know if a game time changes?

Not immediately. Google Calendar refreshes subscribed feeds every 12 to 24 hours and won't notify you — you'd have to happen to open your calendar and notice the time is different. Schedule Caddie checks the same TeamSnap feed every day and emails you exactly what changed.
