The Skylight on your kitchen wall is only as good as the calendars feeding it — and youth sports schedules live in team apps that don't talk to it directly. The good news: every one of them can reach your Skylight through the calendar accounts it already syncs. Here's the clean setup, whether you have one kid on one team or three kids on five apps.
Understand the pipeline: Skylight shows synced calendars. A Skylight Calendar displays the Google, Apple, or Outlook calendars you've connected to it. So the question isn't "how do I get TeamSnap onto the Skylight" — it's "how do I get TeamSnap into the calendar my Skylight already shows." Fix the middle and the wall fixes itself.
Merge everything in Schedule Caddie. Paste every team app's calendar link into Schedule Caddie (free — our per-app guides cover 20+ platforms), and upload the schedules that have no link: the school PDF, the photographed practice sheet. You get one merged, daily-refreshed calendar covering every kid, plus an email whenever a time changes.
Copy your Schedule Caddie feed link. In Schedule Caddie, open Subscribe & Share. The All Events card at the top is your default feed — the whole family in one subscription. Tap Copy next to the Subscription URL.
Subscribe your Google (or Apple/Outlook) calendar to it. In Google Calendar on the web: + next to "Other calendars" → From URL → paste the link → Add calendar. (Apple: Settings → Apps → Calendar → Add Subscribed Calendar. Outlook: Add calendar → Subscribe from web.) You can also skip the merge and wire each team app straight into Google one by one — our per-app guides show how — but then the wall shows five separately-managed feeds instead of one.
Check the calendar is enabled on the Skylight. In the Skylight app or on the device, make sure the account and the specific calendar you just fed are toggled on for display. From then on, every schedule change flows: team app → Schedule Caddie → your calendar → the kitchen wall.
A game moved but the Skylight still shows the old time
Two refresh hops sit between the team app and your wall: Google/Apple refresh subscribed feeds roughly every 12–24 hours, and the Skylight then mirrors them. The display will catch up — but if you want to KNOW about the change today, that's what Schedule Caddie's change-alert emails are for: they fire when the source changes, not when the wall repaints.
The school calendar is a PDF, and nothing can subscribe to a PDF
Correct — this is where Skylight's Magic Import (part of the $79/year Plus plan) or Schedule Caddie's free upload come in. Ours extracts the dates and shows you a review grid before anything is committed, then the events ride the same merged feed to your Skylight.
Events show up doubled on the display
You're probably feeding the same team twice — once as a direct subscription and once inside a merged feed. Pick one route per team: either the app's own link straight into Google, or the Schedule Caddie merged feed, not both.
