The first sync can genuinely take up to 24 hours. If it's been longer, check that the destination calendar you picked is visible (ticked) in Google Calendar's left sidebar — events may be arriving into a calendar that's simply hidden.
Teamworks events are mixed into my personal calendar
You pointed the sync at your main calendar. Go back to Sync Settings and switch the destination to a dedicated calendar — because the sync is two-way, keeping it separate also prevents your personal events from being visible to the sync.
