Every team app hides its calendar feed in a slightly different place, under a slightly different name — Export here, Sync Calendar there, a gear icon somewhere else. But underneath, nearly all of them speak the same language: an iCal feed link you can copy once and subscribe to anywhere.
This is the universal recipe. If your team's app has a dedicated guide in our list, use that instead — it names the exact buttons. If it doesn't, the five steps below find the link in almost every schedule platform we've met.
Two minutes of hunting now buys you a schedule that updates itself all season.
Log in to the team app or website. Start wherever your team's schedule actually lives. If the app has both a phone app and a website, keep the website in your back pocket — several platforms only show the calendar link on the web.
Find the schedule. Open the section called Schedule, Calendar, or Events. The feed link is almost always attached to that screen, not buried in account settings.
Hunt for the export option. Look for a button or menu item named Export, Subscribe, Sync, Sync Calendar, Add to Calendar, or iCal. It often hides behind a gear icon, a Settings button on the schedule itself, or a three-dot menu in a corner.
Choose the iCal / ICS format if asked. Some apps offer choices like "Google Calendar," "Apple Calendar," or "Other." Pick the option that shows you a copyable link — usually labeled iCal, ICS, webcal, or Other Calendar. Avoid anything that just opens a web page.
Copy the URL. A real calendar feed URL starts with webcal:// or https:// and often ends in .ics, with words like "calendar," "feed," or "ical" in it. Copy the whole thing.
Once you have the feed URL, it works like any other subscribed calendar:
On Google Calendar (desktop or web). Go to Settings → Add calendar → From URL, paste the link you copied above, then click Add calendar.
On iPhone (Apple Calendar). Go to Settings → Apps → Calendar → Calendar Accounts → Add Account → Other → Add Subscribed Calendar, and paste the same link. (On older iOS versions, Calendar appears directly in Settings.)
That gets the schedule onto your calendar. What it doesn't get you is a heads-up when the schedule changes — Google and Apple re-check subscribed feeds on their own lazy cycle, sometimes a full day later, and neither one notifies you when a game moves. Schedule Caddie watches the same feed every day and emails you the moment something changes, so you find out from us instead of finding out at the field.
Paste the link into Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or Outlook and it works — you'll repeat this hunt separately for every team and every app your family uses — and each subscription lands in your calendar as its own undifferentiated layer.
I can't find any export or subscribe option
Two common causes: the option only exists on the web version (not the phone app), or it requires team admin/manager permissions. Try logging in on a computer first; if it's still missing, ask your team manager to grab the link or grant you access.
The link I copied just opens a web page
You probably grabbed the schedule page URL instead of the feed. A feed link usually starts with webcal:// or ends in .ics. Go back and look specifically for an iCal, ICS, or Subscribe option.
My app genuinely doesn't offer a calendar feed
A few chat-first apps don't. Check whether your league or club ALSO publishes the schedule somewhere that does (most do), or ask the coach where the official schedule lives. Schedule Caddie can also read some schedule pages directly — paste the link you have and it will tell you.
It's a live calendar feed — a URL that calendar apps re-download on a schedule, so when the team updates a game, your calendar eventually updates too. It's the same open format (.ics) whether the app calls it iCal, ICS, webcal, or "calendar subscription."
Functionally no — webcal:// is just a convention that tells calendar apps "subscribe to this" instead of "download this once." Schedule Caddie accepts either form.
TeamSnap, GameChanger, SportsEngine, LeagueApps, TeamLinkt, Crossbar, GotSport, Spond, PlayMetrics, sportsYou, and many more. We keep step-by-step guides for the common ones — see the guide list linked below.
Not inside the team apps themselves — each one only knows about its own teams. That's the exact problem Schedule Caddie solves: paste each kid's link in, whatever app it came from, and they all land on one color-coded family calendar.
Not promptly, if you subscribe directly in Google or Apple Calendar — they refresh feeds on a lazy cycle (sometimes 12–24 hours) and never send a notification when something moves. Schedule Caddie checks the same feed every day and emails you the moment a game changes.
Paste it into Schedule Caddie anyway — for several platforms (like Tourney Machine brackets) it can read the schedule straight off the page even though no feed exists.
Every kid, every team, every app — merged, color-coded, and watched for changes.
