Two quirks make this pairing confusing: GameChanger only exposes its calendar link inside the phone app (the website has none), and Apple HomeView has no App Store — Apple says it syncs with your paired iPhone to show your Calendar, so the schedule has to be in the Calendar app on that phone first. Conveniently, that's the same phone the GameChanger link comes from. Get the link out of the app, land it in iCloud, and you're set up before HomeView arrives.
Updated October 16, 2026, from Apple’s published materials. HomeView ships November 13; we’ll revise this page the week it arrives.
Open the GameChanger app on your phone, pick the team, tap the gear. Do this on your phone, not a computer. The GameChanger website (web.gc.com) has no calendar link anywhere, so there's nothing to find there. From the Home tab, tap into the specific team — the gear icon only appears on that team's Home screen, top right, not on a league-wide feed.
Tap Schedule Sync, then Copy Calendar Link. Schedule Sync is the current name; older instructions call it "Sync to Calendar", and that menu item was renamed, not removed. Inside it GameChanger offers to connect directly to Google or Apple Calendar — skip those and tap Copy Calendar Link. You want the address itself, because it's what the merge step below takes, and it's the thing you can paste on a second parent's phone later. If Schedule Sync isn't there at all, you may not have team admin or manager permissions; ask your team manager to copy it or grant you access.
Paste it into Schedule Caddie (free) and copy your one URL. Add Schedule → paste the GameChanger link. If a sibling is on TeamSnap or SportsEngine, add that too, and upload the school calendar PDF while you're there — GameChanger only knows about its own team, and the point is one calendar for the household. Then open Subscribe & Share and copy the All Events URL: one address for the whole family, watched hourly, with an email naming exactly what changed when a coach moves something.
Subscribe to it in the Calendar app on the iPhone you’ll pair with HomeView — and choose iCloud. Subscribe to your Schedule Caddie feed in the Calendar app on the iPhone you'll pair with HomeView: open Calendar, tap Calendars, then Add Calendar → Add Subscription Calendar, paste the feed address and tap Find, give it a name and color, and next to Account choose iCloud, then Done. Apple's support guide says a subscription stored in iCloud appears across all of your devices. (On iOS 18 or earlier the last screen says Subscribe instead of Find, and you pick iCloud from the Account menu.)
Check it’s turned on in the Calendar app. Open the Calendar app, tap Calendars at the bottom, and you should see the feed under Subscribed — make sure its checkbox is on. That's the Calendar app Apple says HomeView syncs with on your paired iPhone; what shows on the HomeView screen itself is the part we'll confirm the week it ships.
Step 4’s iCloud sentence is from Apple Support: Add calendar subscriptions in iCloud.
As of October 15, 2026, Apple hasn’t said whether subscribed (webcal/ICS) calendars or Google and Outlook accounts show on HomeView, how often it refreshes a calendar, or whether there’s a household-wide family calendar beyond the Modular face widget. Everything on this page about getting a schedule onto HomeView is based on how HomeView reads the Calendar app on your paired iPhone, per Apple — and we’ll confirm it on a real HomeView the week it ships.
It helps to be clear about what HomeView is in this chain: a screen. Per Apple it has no App Store, and its Calendar comes from the paired iPhone — so, as far as Apple has described, what it shows is drawn from that iPhone. Nothing on the display knows what GameChanger is. The direct route above works because the subscription happens on the phone, and HomeView is expected to reflect the phone.
That’s fine for one kid on one GameChanger team. It stops being fine the moment the second kid plays on TeamSnap and the school posts its calendar as a PDF. GameChanger hands out one link per team, from inside one team’s settings; TeamSnap and SportsEngine do the same from theirs. A household with two kids on two apps is subscribing to four or five links on one iPhone, and then doing it all again on the other parent’s iPhone — and the PDF never becomes a subscription at all. Even once every feed is in, each one updates silently: when a coach moves Saturday’s game, the entry just changes and tells no one. The wall shows the new time; nobody told you there was a new time.
Schedule Caddie sits in front of the iPhone, not instead of it. You paste in every link once — GameChanger, TeamSnap, SportsEngine, twenty-plus platforms — upload the school PDF, and it merges them into one family calendar — color-coded per kid inside Schedule Caddie and on the share page, with overlaps and too-tight transitions between locations flagged — behind a single feed URL. (On the iPhone that feed is one subscribed calendar in whatever color you pick.) That single URL is the only thing you subscribe to in iCloud, on each parent’s phone. Schedule Caddie re-reads every source feed hourly, and when something moves it emails you the old time, the new time, which kid, and which team. The display silently updates; Schedule Caddie tells you it changed. All of it is free.
One honest caveat: the HomeView end of that chain is still the part Apple hasn’t described. Storing the subscription in iCloud is correct whichever way it turns out, and we’ll replace “expected” with what we saw the week HomeView ships.
I'm on web.gc.com and there is no calendar option
Right — the website doesn't have one. GameChanger only hands out the link inside the phone app: open the team, tap the gear on its Home screen, then Schedule Sync → Copy Calendar Link. Since the iPhone is also where HomeView reads your Calendar from, per Apple, you're on the right device anyway.
The gear is there but Schedule Sync is missing
That usually means your account doesn't have team admin or manager permissions for this team. The quickest fix is asking whoever manages the team to copy the calendar link and text it to you, or to grant you access so you can do it yourself.
I tapped GameChanger's Apple Calendar option instead of Copy Calendar Link
That direct connection drops the games into a calendar on that account rather than handing you a link — so there's nothing to merge with a sibling's feed or paste on a second parent's phone. It isn't broken; it's just a different door. If you also subscribe to a merged Schedule Caddie feed that includes the same team, the games will show twice. Pick one route per team.
A game moved but my iPhone calendar still shows the old time
iOS decides for itself how often to refresh a subscribed calendar, and you can nudge it under Settings → Apps → Calendar → Calendar Accounts → Fetch New Data. Even at its most eager it's a polling schedule, not a notification — which is why Schedule Caddie emails you when something moves instead of leaving you to notice it. (Apple hasn't said how often HomeView refreshes a calendar, so we won't guess.)
The schedule is there, but the games in it are wrong
Some teams run GameChanger for live scoring only and post the real schedule in a group chat or on a league site. If Schedule Sync shows placeholder games or nothing like the season you expect, the fix is upstream: ask the coach where the official schedule lives, and feed that source in instead.
I subscribed on my iPhone — will it actually show up on HomeView?
We don't know yet, and neither does anyone outside Apple. Apple hasn't said whether subscribed calendars show on HomeView. Storing the subscription in iCloud (step 4) is the right call whichever way that turns out, because Apple says an iCloud subscription appears across all of your devices. We'll test it on a real HomeView the week it ships and update this page.
Yes. Paste the Copy Calendar Link address into the same Add Subscription Calendar screen and choose iCloud, and for one kid on one team that's a perfectly good setup. What the merge step adds is the rest of the household in the same calendar — the sibling on TeamSnap, the school's PDF — plus an email when a game moves, because a subscribed calendar updates quietly.
Per Apple: an iPhone with iOS 27.2 or later, or an iPad with iPadOS 27.2 or later. Up to six household members enroll through the Home app, each with their own Apple Account, and each person sees their own Calendar on HomeView when it recognizes their face and their paired iPhone or iPad is on the same Wi-Fi and was recently unlocked. HomeView ships November 13, 2026, at $299.
It can. Teams are often recreated per season in GameChanger, and a subscription to last season's team simply stops receiving new games — no error, the calendar just never gets another event. If the feed went quiet around season turnover, open the current team in the app, copy a fresh link (gear → Schedule Sync → Copy Calendar Link), and add it as a new schedule in Schedule Caddie and archive the old one — the All Events URL you subscribed to in iCloud stays the same.
A subscription only lives on the device (or iCloud account) that added it, so each parent subscribes with the same Schedule Caddie link on their own iPhone — it's the same URL every time. Apple also describes one household-wide Modular face per HomeView, where, in Apple's words, if someone places a Calendar widget on it, that person's calendar appears there for everyone. We'll confirm how that behaves once we can test it.
Apple hasn't said — as of October 15, 2026, none of Apple's HomeView pages mention them. What Apple has said is that HomeView syncs with your paired iPhone or iPad and shows your personal content, Calendar included. Our Google Calendar page walks through what's known and what isn't.
No — we're an independent, free family-schedule tool. HomeView details on this page are from Apple's published product, specs, store, and developer pages as of October 15, 2026; nobody outside Apple's demo spaces has used one yet.
