How to Get TeamSnap Schedules on Apple HomeView

Two quirks make this pairing confusing: TeamSnap hides its calendar link behind an export icon most parents have never tapped, and Apple HomeView has no App Store — Apple says it syncs with your paired iPhone to show your Calendar, so the schedule has to be in the Calendar app on that phone first. Chain the hops in the right order and it's a few minutes of setup, done before HomeView arrives.

⏱ Takes about 7 minutes

Updated October 15, 2026, from Apple’s published materials. HomeView ships November 13; we’ll revise this page the week it arrives.

The steps

  1. 1

In the TeamSnap iPhone app: Schedule → export icon → Subscribe. Tap Schedule at the bottom, then the export icon (top-left, next to the profile icon), then Subscribe on the "Sync to iOS Calendar" popup. iOS Calendar opens with the subscription URL pre-filled — press and hold the URL field, Select All, Copy. (On a computer or Android instead: sign in at teamsnap.com → your team → Schedule → Settings → Sync Calendar / Export, and copy the link there. It may start with webcal:// and come from teamsnap.com, go.teamsnap.com, or ical-cdn.teamsnap.com — all of them work the same way.)

  2. 2

Paste it into Schedule Caddie (free) and copy your one URL. Add Schedule → paste the link. Add the other kids' feeds and the school PDF while you're there — the point is one family calendar, not another silo. Then copy the merged All Events URL from Subscribe & Share: one URL for the whole family, plus change-alert emails when a coach moves something.

  3. 3

Subscribe to it in the Calendar app on the iPhone you’ll pair with HomeView — and choose iCloud. Subscribe to your Schedule Caddie feed in the Calendar app on the iPhone you'll pair with HomeView: open Calendar, tap Calendars, then Add Calendar → Add Subscription Calendar, paste the feed address and tap Find, give it a name and color, and next to Account choose iCloud, then Done. Apple's support guide says a subscription stored in iCloud appears across all of your devices. (On iOS 18 or earlier the last screen says Subscribe instead of Find, and you pick iCloud from the Account menu.)

  4. 4

Check it’s turned on in the Calendar app. Open the Calendar app, tap Calendars at the bottom, and you should see the feed under Subscribed — make sure its checkbox is on. Tap the info icon to give it a color that stands out from your personal events. That's the Calendar app Apple says HomeView syncs with on your paired iPhone; what shows on the HomeView screen itself is the part we'll confirm the week it ships.

Step 3’s iCloud sentence is from Apple Support: Add calendar subscriptions in iCloud.

What Apple hasn’t said yet

As of October 15, 2026, Apple hasn’t said whether subscribed (webcal/ICS) calendars or Google and Outlook accounts show on HomeView, how often it refreshes a calendar, or whether there’s a household-wide family calendar beyond the Modular face widget. Everything on this page about getting a schedule onto HomeView is based on how HomeView reads the Calendar app on your paired iPhone, per Apple — and we’ll confirm it on a real HomeView the week it ships.

If something's not working

I can't find the calendar link in TeamSnap

On iPhone it's behind the export icon on the Schedule tab — not in settings. On the website: your team → Schedule → Settings → Sync Calendar / Export. Note that TeamSnap's newer ONE app is a different product with its own path; if your export screen looks nothing like this, you may be in ONE — its calendar-api link works here too.

A game moved but my iPhone calendar still shows the old time

iOS decides for itself how often to refresh a subscribed calendar, and you can nudge it under Settings → Apps → Calendar → Calendar Accounts → Fetch New Data. Even at its most eager it is a polling schedule, not a notification — which is why Schedule Caddie emails you when something moves instead of leaving you to notice it. (Apple hasn't said how often HomeView refreshes a calendar, so we won't guess.)

Events show up doubled

Two usual causes. Either you tapped TeamSnap's Subscribe popup (which adds the raw team feed to your iPhone) and later also subscribed to the merged Schedule Caddie feed — in Calendar, tap Calendars, find the duplicate subscription, tap its ⓘ and choose Delete Calendar (a subscription saved to the device rather than iCloud shows under Settings → Apps → Calendar → Calendar Accounts instead). Or the same team is feeding your calendar twice, once directly and once inside the merged feed. Pick one route per team.

I subscribed on my iPhone — will it actually show up on HomeView?

We don't know yet, and neither does anyone outside Apple. Apple hasn't said whether subscribed calendars show on HomeView. Storing the subscription in iCloud (step 3) is the right call whichever way that turns out, because Apple says an iCloud subscription appears across all of your devices. We'll test it on a real HomeView the week it ships and update this page.

Frequently asked questions

Does this work with a free TeamSnap plan?

Yes. Calendar sync is not a paid-tier feature — every TeamSnap team, regardless of plan, has a Sync Calendar / Export option on its Schedule tab, and the iPhone app exposes the same link behind the export icon.

What does HomeView need from me?

Per Apple: an iPhone with iOS 27.2 or later, or an iPad with iPadOS 27.2 or later. Up to six household members enroll through the Home app, each with their own Apple Account, and each person sees their own Calendar on HomeView when it recognizes their face and their paired iPhone or iPad is on the same Wi-Fi and was recently unlocked. HomeView ships November 13, 2026, at $299.

Why route through Schedule Caddie instead of tapping Subscribe in TeamSnap and stopping there?

Tapping Subscribe works — our TeamSnap → Apple Calendar guide shows the direct path, and it's fine for a single team. The merged route earns its keep with several kids on several apps (one feed instead of five), schedules that only exist as PDFs, and free emails naming exactly what changed — a subscribed calendar updates silently, and no wall display tells you a game moved.

Will my partner see the schedule on HomeView too?

A subscription only lives on the device (or iCloud account) that added it, so each parent subscribes with the same Schedule Caddie link on their own iPhone — it's the same URL every time. Apple also describes one household-wide Modular face per HomeView, where, in Apple's words, if someone places a Calendar widget on it, that person's calendar appears there for everyone. We'll confirm how that behaves once we can test it.

Does HomeView show Google Calendar, Outlook, or subscribed calendars?

Apple hasn't said — as of October 15, 2026, none of Apple's HomeView pages mention them. What Apple has said is that HomeView syncs with your paired iPhone or iPad and shows your personal content, Calendar included. Our Google Calendar page walks through what's known and what isn't.

Is Schedule Caddie affiliated with Apple or TeamSnap?

No — we're an independent, free family-schedule tool. HomeView details on this page are from Apple's published product, specs, store, and developer pages as of October 15, 2026; nobody outside Apple's demo spaces has used one yet.
