If your kid plays club soccer in the US, you've almost certainly met GotSport — it's the system behind registration, league scheduling, state cups, and the tournament brackets that eat your weekends. It does publish an iCal feed so your calendar stays current, and GotSport advertises it right on the Team App's feature list as "Calendar Integration (iCal)."
Finding it is the hard part. GotSport's own help center covers the iCal link with two video walkthroughs and no written steps, and what you see on screen depends on whether you're in the Team App or the web system at system.gotsport.com — plus how your club configured its pages. The steps below hedge where GotSport's labels genuinely vary.
One naming note for anyone searching: this used to be GotSoccer. Clubs were migrated to the newer GotSport platform and GotSoccer Classic support ended after the 2021/2022 season, so old GotSoccer instructions won't match what's in front of you.
Open the GotSport Team App, or sign in at system.gotsport.com. GotSport splits into two places: the Team App on your phone, and the web system at system.gotsport.com. The iCal link is reachable from both — GotSport publishes one video for the app-to-iPhone path and a separate one for the desktop-to-Outlook path.
Select the team whose schedule you want. If your club runs several teams, or your kid plays up an age group, make sure you're on the right team page before you go looking — each team publishes its own separate link.
Open that team's Schedule or Calendar section. This is where the games and events list lives. On the Team App it's a tab on the team's page; on the web system you'll reach it through the team's schedule view.
Look for the iCal or Add to Calendar option. GotSport markets this as "Calendar Integration (iCal)," but the on-screen label varies by version and by where you are — you may see iCal, Add to Calendar, or Add All to Calendar. On public event pages, an individual game hides its Add to Calendar behind the three-dots menu next to that game.
Copy the URL instead of tapping through to a calendar app. GotSport will happily push the schedule straight into your phone's calendar, but that's a one-time dump. For Schedule Caddie you want the underlying feed URL — copy it. GotSport iCal links typically look like https://system.gotsport.com/calendar/team/123456.ics.
Paste the link into Schedule Caddie. Once it's in, this team's matches refresh on their own alongside every other team you've added.
Yes — once you've copied the iCal link above, it behaves like any other subscribable calendar feed, whether you write it GotSport or GotSoccer:
On Google Calendar (desktop or web). Go to Settings → Add calendar → From URL, paste the GotSport link you copied above, then click Add calendar.
On iPhone (Apple Calendar). Go to Settings → Apps → Calendar → Calendar Accounts → Add Account → Other → Add Subscribed Calendar, and paste the same link. (On older iOS versions, Calendar appears directly in Settings.)
That link will show you every match GotSport publishes. What it won't do is tell you when one moves. Google and Apple only check subscribed feeds every so often — sometimes a full day passes before a new kickoff time shows up — and neither sends a notification when it does. On a tournament weekend, where bracket times get rewritten between rounds, a full day is the whole game. Schedule Caddie watches the same GotSport feed every day and emails you the moment something changes, so you find out from us instead of finding out at the field.
Paste the link into Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or Outlook and it works — assuming your club exposed the iCal option in the first place — GotSport pages are club-configured, so the buttons aren't identical everywhere. And each link covers one team, so a soccer kid plus a sibling on any other app means two subscriptions in two places.
I can't find an iCal option anywhere on my team's page
GotSport is club-configured, so not every club exposes the same buttons. Check the team's public schedule page as well as the Team App — and if it's genuinely missing, your club admin can tell you whether the calendar feed is switched on for your team.
GotSport added the games to my phone but they never update
You used Add to Calendar rather than the iCal subscription link. Add to Calendar copies the games in once, frozen. The iCal URL is the one that keeps refreshing — go back and copy the link itself.
The only instructions I can find are videos
That's not you missing something — GotSport's two official iCal help articles are both video walkthroughs with no written steps, which is exactly why this page exists. The sequence above is that same path in text.
My club still calls it GotSoccer
GotSoccer was the older platform; clubs migrated to GotSport, and support for the GotSoccer Classic system wound down after the 2021/2022 season. If you're logging into something that says GotSoccer, ask your club for the current GotSport link.
Effectively yes, one after the other. GotSoccer was the original platform, and clubs were moved onto the newer GotSport system, with GotSoccer Classic support ending after the 2021/2022 season. Plenty of parents still search for GotSoccer out of habit — the calendar steps on this page are the GotSport ones.
Soccer is where it comes from and still where most families meet it — club registration, league play, state cups, and tournament brackets. The name dropped the "soccer" as it expanded, but if you're here, odds are it's soccer.
Add to Calendar drops the games into your calendar as a one-time copy — if the club reschedules, your copy stays wrong. The iCal link is a live subscription, so it keeps pulling from GotSport. Always take the link if you're offered both.
Not inside GotSport — it only knows about the teams registered in its own system. Schedule Caddie exists for exactly this: paste your GotSport link alongside your other kid's TeamSnap or GameChanger link, and they land on one color-coded calendar.
Copy the iCal link from your team's schedule (steps above), then in Google Calendar go to Settings → Add calendar → From URL and paste it in. On an iPhone, go to Settings → Apps → Calendar → Calendar Accounts → Add Account → Other → Add Subscribed Calendar and paste the same link (on older iOS versions, Calendar appears directly in Settings).
Not on your own. Google and Apple re-check subscribed feeds on a lazy cycle — often 12 to 24 hours — and neither one tells you when a kickoff moves. That stings more in soccer than most sports, because tournament brackets get rewritten between rounds. Schedule Caddie reads the same GotSport feed every day and emails you the moment a time or field changes.
Every kid, every team, every app — merged, color-coded, and watched for changes.
